In this proposal, historical immigrants are reimagined as apprentices today. The river clay teaches them to repair, the broken shards reminisced the largely forgotten stories along the Thames. The process of craft - a journey of self-reflection. The restored vessels manifest as a testification of the richness and colour of a multi-cultural through and language that animated vital piety in an important stream of London's art-historical narrative.

In a conscious attempt to illustrate the essence of ordinary pottery, this proposal tucks itself humbly in the face of the existing bridge, limiting its visual impact on the south embankment. Delicate circular structural columns hold up the roof, providing a shelter that seems to float above the ground. Externalising the columns rhythmically accentuates the fragility and beauty of the restored vessels. An elongated passageway allows for a series of thresholds that demarcates the static and active spaces. It extends to the west, gradually revealing a backdrop of its surrounding through the lens of an angled roof.
